TERMS / DELIVERY /RETURNS

BEFORE PLACING AN ORDER:

We strongly encourage you to look at all the item photos, descriptions, and details. If you're unsure about an item's condition,
dimensions, quantity, or description, please get in touch and we can give you any extra information you may need to know.
Most of our products are pre-loved/vintage items, and are clearly marked as such. Please expect some marks, scuffs, scratches,
dents etc. Instead of trying to cover these up, we celebrate these unique marks and strongly believe it adds character.
We restore each item sympathetically, treat each piece with the respect it deserves and do whatever we can to make
it look fabulous again.


PAYMENT

We take payment in the following ways:

• PayPal payment platform
• Credit or Debit card via the Stripe payment platform

Both Paypal and Stripe are highly regarded, globally accepted payment platforms with recognised standards of compliance and security. 


DELIVERY:

We do everything we can to ensure your order from The House of Mac arrives safe and in the same condition as it left us.
One thing you will notice is that we try and re-use packaging where we can. So expect some familiar branding on your
packaging when you are unwrapping. Hopefully you won’t be too disappointed when you find out it’s something from us!

As every order is unique, the cost of delivery will vary depending on size, weight, location and destination of your chosen item/s.
The cost of delivery may also vary depending on access restrictions, or special requests from a buyer. We ask for you to let us know
before you place an order if there are special requirements for your delivery. We can then calculate the most cost effective option for you.


POST-ABLE ITEMS

For post-able items we use either Hermes/Royal Mail/Parcelforce Express 48 signed for delivery services. 
We will post your order as soon as we can, so expect your delivery to take between 3-6 working days.
The cost of the delivery (UK Mainland only) will be as displayed when you go through to the checkout.
If you are purchasing more than 1 item, we can combine some delivery costs - just let us know before so we can alter the details.

LARGER ITEMS/FURNITURE

For larger items/furniture we use a specialist courier company. 
We apply a flat rate cost at the Checkout for a single item (1 person delivery / week day delivery / UK MAINLAND ONLY). 
The price can alter significantly if you require either a weekend delivery, need more than 1 person to deliver, or you live in a remote area.
If any of these apply to you, we ask you to please let us know before you place an order so we can calculate and arrange the most cost effective option.
Once an order has been placed, we can then work with you and the courier company to arrange a suitable day and time to deliver. We do ask if you
can be a little flexible on the day of delivery as the courier company will need to plan their journey route and organise their drop offs.
They will contact you directly on the day of delivery to let you know when they will be with you.

Delivery prices range from:

£4.95  - £60
Depending on size/weight and packaging used.
Prices are based on a week day delivery - If you require a Weekend delivery, the cost will be higher, so
please get in touch before you place an order.


The House of Mac is not liable for any damages or loss sustained in transit via third parties.


COLLECTION IN PERSON

By choosing ‘Collection in person’ at the checkout you can save delivery costs by collecting the item directly from us.
Please can you contact us within 3 business days of your purchase to arrange a suitable pickup date and time.


Deliveries to EU Countries

We can arrange delivery to some EU countries - please contact us in advance of your purchase for more information or to get a quotation.

International Deliveries

We regret that at this time we are unable to deliver to countries outside of the EU.


RETURNS:

If you are unhappy with your purchase, please get in touch within 24 hours of taking delivery. You can do so by email: thehouseofmac@icloud.com.
Your item must be returned to us within 7 working days and the buyer is responsible for the return delivery costs. We cannot be held responsible
for any returned items that are lost in transit, so please ensure that you obtain a proof of postage, and use a delivery service that provides an online
tracking service and signature upon delivery.

The costs of the outbound delivery costs are non-refundable, unless we find that the item was damaged in transportation or the listing was inaccurate,
misleading, or misrepresented the item.

Once returned to us we will refund the item, less any outbound delivery charges within 7 working days.

The House of Mac cannot be held responsible if an item of furniture cannot gain access to, or does not fit in its intended space.
Therefore, we strongly recommend that you measure all access areas before making a purchase.
